A man suffering from schizophrenia and needing oxygen remains missing since leaving a Hayward group home last week, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

Tommy Marshall, 55, was scheduled to leave Gerrylaide Manor at 261 Medford Ave. in Hayward with a staff member to head to a medical appointment at 1406 Park St. in Alameda at about 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 11, according to the sheriff's office.

But before leaving with the staff member, Marshall left on his own and hasn't been seen since.

He is diagnosed with a mild mental disability, schizophrenia, and needs an oxygen tank, according to the sheriff's office. He didn't have any money, cellphone or credit cards with him.

So far he hasn't been found at any hospitals or in jail, sheriff's officials said.

He is described as a black man, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 208 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black tracksuit.

Anyone who finds Marshall has been asked to help him return to Gerrylaide Manor.
