Available for events and parties, the temporary rink in Civic Park allows Walnut Creek residents the chance to experience winter as it would be in colder regions. Held twice a year on the last Thursday of March and September, this event is a business-to-business trade fair, where business managers and owners can network and discover opportunities. Held by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, the event is designed to foster the success of Walnut Creek businesses. Admission is free for those representatives who present business cards and $10 for others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a fan of fine wines, an avid drinker of micro-brews, an art lover or a casual music listener, the annual Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce Art and Wine Festival is for you. Held every year since 1981, the festival takes place during the first weekend of June and is a popular community event. Recognized as the East Bay’s Best Outdoor Festival by Contra Costa Times, the event attracts more than 100,000 people to Heather Farm Park during its two-day run. Featuring local wines, major beers and beverages, local microbrews, culinary delicacies and the work of more than 200 artists, the festival embodies the unique culture of the Bay Area.

Striving to encourage health and fitness in the community through the act of running, the Walnut Creek race promotes competitive running at the highest level. Held in downtown Walnut Creek, the run is sponsored by Tampico Terrace: A Care Facility, other local businesses and the Walnut Creek Convention and Visitors Bureau. The race is held in December.
