Open on Sundays throughout the year, the Walnut Creek Farmers’ Market takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., May through October, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., November through April. A terrific place for meeting friends on a Sunday for coffee, brunch or music, the farmer’s market in downtown allows visitors to browse through some of the freshest produce in Northern California and downtown’s many shops at the same time. Selected as the best farmers’ market in 2012 by the Local Harvest and Walnut Creek Magazine, this market provides a variety of ingredients and supplies for cooking organic, unique and fresh dishes in your kitchen. The plethora of vendors here ensures that you will always find the best seasonal ingredients around. However, if you are attending, leave your dogs at home, as they are not permitted.
